I second or third the Wolter's book idea. It is a very simple method to training. The best part is that it is open ended, meaning you can add anything into process to gear the dog to your needs. In the video, the thing that is confusing the dog is there no specific task for them to complete and be praised for. Keep it simple and make sure the dog has learned or enforced a previously learned behavior in doing drill work.
