Thanks Sharon! Great fun. She also retrieved her first goose that was hit and swimming away. She ran right out to it and then looked back at me as if to say....hey this thing is big, but grabbed it and came right to me. Lots of things to work on, but many positives came from the two days of hunting.

That's nice. I also started hunting my young chessie this year. Lots of positives and hurdles crossed that will save me from headaches next year.

The first and only crippled goose my dog retrieved was pretty comical. When the young dog ran the crippled speck down he put his paw down on the goose and looked back to me like, "hey, I caught him!". The pup snatched him up and trotted back with his prize. Mission accomplished!
