First Master Pass

Postby RShockley » Mon Mar 02, 2020 2:48 am

Archer and I ran a master test with the Bryan-College Station Retriever Club here in Central Texas. He ran very well this weekend and got his first Master pass. Completely clean and nailed the marks in the first 2 series. Did use a handle on his last bird of the third series but it was more to just make sure he didn't run long. Going long was a death sentence for several dog as they would get lost behind heavy cover. Stopped him even with the bird and just gave an over cast to be safe. I was very pleased with the way he performed throughout the entire test.

Thank You! Just got Master pass #9 and qualified for next year's Master National last weekend. Should be interesting to get a chance at a Master National pass. Even with a ton of time to train for it, we are going into it without any expectations. Just going to give it our best shot and enjoy the ride.
